Another exciting game was played in Findon between seventh ranked Adelaide 36ers and 4th placed Illawarra Hawks where host Adelaide 36ers (8-13) won against Illawarra Hawks (10-10) 84-72. Adelaide 36ers made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. The former international power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). International guard Joshua Giddey (203-2) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. International power forward Samson Froling (212-0, college: Creighton) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Emmett Naar (185-94, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Illawarra Hawks. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Illawarra Hawks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Adelaide 36ers maintains seventh place with 8-13 record. Illawarra Hawks at the other side keep the fourth position with ten games lost. They share it with Sydney. Adelaide 36ers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Illawarra Hawks will play at home against the league's leader United (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
