The game between second ranked Perth Wildcats (15-5) and seventh ranked Adelaide 36ers (9-13) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Perth Wildcats were defeated by Adelaide 36ers in Findon 83-68. It ended at the same time the 13-game winning streak of Perth Wildcats. Adelaide 36ers looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). International guard Joshua Giddey (203-2) helped adding 13 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists. At the losing side American forward John Mooney (206-98, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Jesse Wagstaff (203-86, college: MSU Denver) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Perth Wildcats' coach rotated twelve players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Adelaide 36ers maintains seventh place with 9-13 record. Defending champion Perth Wildcats keep the second position with five games lost. Adelaide 36ers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Perth Wildcats will play at home against the league's leader United having rather not much hope for a victory.
