Power forward Callum Beard (202-0) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and point guard Ryan Godfrey (187-90, college: UWG) chipped in 23 points and 6 assists. Four Flames players scored in double figures. Swingman Gavin Field (202-89, college: UWG) responded with 30 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Greek swingman Nic Pozoglou (196-96) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Flames left bottom position moving up to third place in League. Loser Cougars still closes the standings with one game lost. Flames will face Magic (#7) in Mandurah in the next round. Cougars will play on the road against Eagles in Morley and look forward to get finally their first victory.
