The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Hills Hornets as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Hills Hornets defeated bottom-ranked Mustangs in Baulkham Hills 67-50. Hills Hornets held Mustangs to an opponent 22.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 34.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Hills Hornets made 7 blocks. Rhiannon Davies stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners and guard Cassandra Pentney (169-94) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Hills Hornets players scored in double figures. Hills Hornets' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
