The game between second ranked Perth Wildcats (17-6) and eighth ranked New Zealand Breakers (7-14) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Perth Wildcats were defeated by New Zealand Breakers in a tough game in Perth 78-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Perth Wildcats. They outrebounded Perth Wildcats 37-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American guard Levi Randolph (196-92, college: Alabama) who led his team to a victory with 23 points. Guinea-Bissau-American center Colton Iverson (212-89, college: Colorado St., agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. American forward John Mooney (206-98, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Bryce Cotton (182-92, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) added 12 points and 9 assists in the effort for Perth Wildcats. Five New Zealand Breakers and four Perth Wildcats players scored in double figures. Perth Wildcats' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. New Zealand Breakers maintains eighth place with 7-14 record. Defending champion Perth Wildcats keep the second position with six games lost. New Zealand Breakers are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Cairns Taipans (#9) at home in the next round.
