Leader United delivered the twentieth win on Wednesday night. This time they beat 8th ranked New Zealand Breakers (8-16) 90-76 in Melbourne. United dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to New Zealand Breakers' 34. The best player for the winners was naturalized Sudanese center Jo Lual-Acuil (213-94, college: Baylor) who scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. American swingman Scotty Hopson (200-89, college: Tennessee, agency: GroundUp) chipped in 25 points. New Zealand guard Corey Webster (188-88, college: Lambuth) produced 20 points and 5 assists and guard William McDowell-White (196-98, college: Fresno St.) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. United (20-5) have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place. New Zealand Breakers at the other side keep the eighth position with 16 games lost. United are looking forward to face Kings (#3) in Sydney in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
