This time Woodville Warriors used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Goodwood 86-82 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in League. Woodville Warriors outrebounded Forestville Eagles 53-28 including a 38-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Julian Jacobs (193-94, college: USC) who had a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists. Forward Luke Stanbridge (192-90) chipped in 30 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Michael Harris who recorded 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Brandon Brine (198-91, college: Lethbridge) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Five Woodville Warriors and four Forestville Eagles players scored in double figures. Woodville Warriors (4-1) moved-up to second place in League. Loser Forestville Eagles dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Woodville Warriors will face South Adelaide Panthers (#6) in Park Holme in the next round. Forestville Eagles will play at home against the league's leader Sturt Sabres and hope to win that game.
