Regular Season Round 9: McKinnon C. - Blackburn V. 97-84

Rather expected game in McKinnon where 7th ranked Vikings (1-4) were defeated by fourth ranked Cougars (4-2) 97-84 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Jordan Geer who scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Nicholas Laycock chipped in 18 points. Four Cougars players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Jah Soloai who recorded 20 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Somalian guard Yusuf Qaafow (190-87) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cougars maintains fourth place in League with 4-2 record. Loser Vikings dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Cougars will face Steelers (#10) in Western Port in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Vikings will play at home against Hume City Broncos and hope to win that game.
