Rather expected game when ACT was rolled over on the road by Tasmania 87-56 on Monday. Tasmania dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to ACT's 34. They outrebounded ACT 49-23 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Tasmania looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. International point guard Taran Armstrong (193-2) fired 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. chipped in 9 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Tasmania players scored in double figures. James Hurley produced 15 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and Diing Diing added 16 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Tasmania will face SA Blue in the next round. ACT will play against NSW Blue having rather not much hope for a victory.
