Regular Season Round 2: WA Gold - WA Black 87-56

There was no surprise when WA Black was outplayed on the road by WA Gold 87-56 on Tuesday. WA Gold dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to WA Black's 22. WA Gold forced 20 WA Black turnovers and outrebounded them 52-31 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Josh Hunt (194-2) who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. International center Harry Wessels (215-2) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Five WA Gold players scored in double figures. Keegan Phillips produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and guard Riley Parker (183-3) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. WA Black's coach already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. WA Gold will meet SA Red in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. WA Black will play against Tasmania and hope to win that game.
