Rather expected game when 6th ranked Cavaliers (3-5) lost to third ranked Devils (6-2) in Cranbourne 71-82 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for guard Makur Jongkuch (183) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Tomi Ayilara contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Devils players scored in double figures. Naturalized British swingman Matthew Donlan (200-93, college: YSU) replied with 24 points and 7 rebounds and guard Michael McInnes (191-90) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Cavaliers. Cavaliers' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Devils maintains third position in League with 6-2 record having just ten point less than leader Joondalup W. Loser Cavaliers keep the sixth place with five games lost. Devils will face Gulls (#7) in Melbourne in the next round. Cavaliers will play on the road against Steelers in Western Port and hope to win that game.
