Everything could happen in Greenacres at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Central District Lions and 9th ranked North Adelaide Rockets had identical 1-4 record. But North Adelaide Rockets were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Gawler 98-94 on Saturday night. Central District Lions outrebounded North Adelaide Rockets 57-40 including a 25-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for naturalized South Sudanese guard Lual Diing (203-94, college: TxWes) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 24 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Shaquille Maharaj (196, college: Camosun) contributed with 30 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jack Purchase (206-95, college: Hawaii) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds and guard Verle Williams Jr (180-97) added 22 points and 5 assists in the effort for North Adelaide Rockets. Four North Adelaide Rockets players scored in double figures. Central District Lions maintains eighth position in League with 2-4 record. Loser North Adelaide Rockets keep the ninth place with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
