Regular Season Round 10: Maitland M. - Hornsby S. 95-81

No shocking result in a game when twelfth ranked Mustangs (2-3) beat bottom-ranked Spiders (0-4) in Maitland 95-81 on Saturday. Mustangs forced 19 Spiders turnovers and outrebounded them 41-30 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Quite impressive performance for Daniel Millburn who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds. Jack Edwards contributed with 15 points and 7 assists for the winners. Mustangs' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Malok Majak replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and Omer Akech added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Spiders. Four Mustangs and five Spiders players scored in double figures. Mustangs moved-up to tenth place in League. Loser Spiders still closes the standings with four games lost. Mustangs will face Hawks (#15) in Wollongong in the next round where they are favorite. Spiders will play on the road against the league's leader Manly Warringah Sea Eagles having rather not much hope for a victory.
