Very predictable result when second ranked Perth Wildcats (20-7) defeated at home 8th ranked New Zealand Breakers (9-18) 98-84. Perth Wildcats made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a very good performance for American guard Bryce Cotton (182-92, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. His fellow American import forward John Mooney (206-98, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Perth Wildcats' coach used entire bench saving starting five for next games. New Zealand guard Tai Webster (193-95, college: Nebraska) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds and New Zealand forward Finn Delany (198-95, college: SW Baptist) added 21 points in the effort for New Zealand Breakers. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains second place with 20-7 record having just three points less than leader Melbourne. New Zealand Breakers at the other side keep the eighth position with 18 games lost. Perth Wildcats' next round opponent will be league's leader United in Melbourne and it will be for sure the game of the week.
