Important game to mention about took place in Mount Waverley. Eighth ranked Falcons (3-1) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 14th ranked Geelong Supercats (1-4) 64-61 on Sunday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Falcons dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Geelong Supercats' 20. It was a great evening for Aneta Bandilovski who led her team to a victory scoring 26 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Kelly Bowen (182-89, college: Gonzaga) helped adding 12 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Rebekah ODonnell (186-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Stephanie Blicavs (178-90) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Falcons moved-up to sixth place in League. Loser Geelong Supercats keep the fourteenth position with four games lost. Falcons will face Lady Bandits (#16) in Albury in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Geelong Supercats will play at home against Tigers and hope to win that game.
