Very important is a home loss of third ranked Kings (14-14) against seventh ranked Adelaide 36ers (13-16) on Sunday night. Host Kings were defeated by Adelaide 36ers in a tough game in Sydney 88-97. Adelaide 36ers outrebounded Kings 49-35 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Adelaide 36ers made 10 blocks. International guard Joshua Giddey (203-2) fired a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners. The former international power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Jarell Martin (208-94, college: LSU) produced 25 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: LBSU) added 17 points and 9 assists respectively for lost side. Four Adelaide 36ers and five Kings players scored in double figures. Adelaide 36ers have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place.
