Leading Jets (6-3) recorded its third loss in Sunbury. Hosts were rolled over by fourth ranked Cougars (6-2) 105-75. Cougars outrebounded Jets 41-30 including 28 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for Jordan Geer who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists. Nicholas Laycock helped adding 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Cougars players scored in double figures. American forward Trevon Clayton (198, college: FPU) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Cory Bellman scored 18 points. Cougars moved-up to third place in League. Jets at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Cougars will play against Hume City Broncos (#5) in Tullamarine in the next round. Jets will play on the road against Magic in Hawthorn and hope to get back on the winning track.
