Regular Season Round 27: Sydney - Adelaide 85-75

Date: May 16, 2021
Rather expected game when 7th ranked Adelaide 36ers (13-18) lost to fifth ranked Kings (15-15) in Sydney 75-85 on Sunday. Kings made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American forward Jarell Martin (208-94, college: LSU) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: LBSU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 assists for the winners. Five Kings players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) answered with 23 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman Brandon Paul (193-91, college: Illinois, agency: Pensack Sports) added 21 points in the effort for Adelaide 36ers. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Kings moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Illawarra. Loser Adelaide 36ers keep the seventh position with 18 games lost. Kings will face New Zealand Breakers (#8) in Auckland in the next round. Adelaide 36ers will play at home against Illawarra Hawks and hope to win that game.
