An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Seaford. Top-ranked Frankston Blues faced 4th ranked Lady Braves. Host Frankston Blues (7-0) defeated guests from Bendigo (5-2) 74-64. Frankston Blues outrebounded Lady Braves 40-29 including 26 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was international guard Tessa Lavey (172-93) who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Darcee Garbin (187-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Kate Oliver (193-91, college: USC) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and forward Cassidy McLean (178-99) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lady Braves' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Frankston Blues maintains first position in League with 7-0 record. Loser Lady Braves keep the fourth place with two games lost. Frankston Blues will face Geelong Supercats (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
