Important game to mention about took place in Brisbane. Sixth ranked Bullets (14-15) saved a 3-point derby victory at home edging second-best Perth Wildcats (22-9) 91-88 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Perth Wildcats. It was a great evening for the former international center Matt Hodgson (211-91, college: St.Mary's, CA) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Wasserman) helped adding 23 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Clint Steindl (200-89, college: St.Mary's, CA) with 25 points and American forward John Mooney (206-98, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Bullets and four Perth Wildcats players scored in double figures. Perth Wildcats' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Bullets maintains sixth place with 14-15 record. Defending champion Perth Wildcats keep the second position with nine games lost. Bullets will play against higher ranked Melbourne Phoenix (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Perth Wildcats will play against Cairns Taipans and hope to get back on the winning track.
