The most shocking disappointment of round 28 was a road defeat of 5th ranked Kings (16-16) to eighth ranked New Zealand Breakers (10-21) 89-81. New Zealand Breakers shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of New Zealand-Irish forward Finn Delany (198-95, college: SW Baptist) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard William McDowell-White (196-98, college: Fresno St.) who added 12 points and 7 assists during the contest. Five New Zealand Breakers players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: LBSU) responded with 20 points and his fellow American import forward Jarell Martin (208-94, college: LSU) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. New Zealand Breakers maintains eighth position with 10-21 record. Kings at the other side keep the fifth place with 16 games lost. New Zealand Breakers are looking forward to face higher ranked Melbourne Phoenix (#3) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Kings will have a break next round.
