Everything went according to plan in Morley where eighth ranked Redbacks (2-3) outscored 12th ranked Eagles (1-6) 98-65 on Friday. Redbacks dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Eagles' 36. Redbacks forced 31 Eagles turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Isaac Gattorna-Hargrave (203-99) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Tevin Jackson (202-94, college: McNeese St.) who added 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Five Redbacks players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Logan Thwaites (200-97) with 20 points and 6 rebounds and forward Andrej Donlagic (197-97) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Redbacks went down to ninth position (League) due to points difference. Loser Eagles dropped to the thirteenth place with six games lost. Redbacks will face higher ranked Magic (#8) in Mandurah in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Eagles will play at home against Wanneroo (#7) and hope to win that game.
