Regular Season Round 12: Cockburn C. - Willetton T. 88-96

Not a big story in a game in Hamilton Hill where 9th ranked Cougars (2-3) were defeated by fourth ranked Tigers (4-1) 96-88 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Scottish power forward Michael Vigor (206-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Damien Scott (192-92) who added 26 points during the contest. Four Tigers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Gavin Field (202-89, college: UWG) with 38 points (!!!) and 4 assists and naturalized Greek swingman Nic Pozoglou (196-96) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tigers moved-up to third place in League. Loser Cougars dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. Tigers will face Giants (#5) in Kalgoorlie in the next round. Cougars will play on the road against Flames (#6) in Rockingham and hope to win that game.
