Everything could happen in Rockingham at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Flames and 8th ranked Redbacks had identical 2-2 record. This time Flames used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Northbridge 89-75 on Saturday night. Flames made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Ryan Godfrey (187-90, college: UWG) who helped to win the game recording 23 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and forward Justin Beard (196-96) who added 13 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Five Flames players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Louis Timms (206-91, college: WBU) with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and swingman Tevin Jackson (202-94, college: McNeese St.) scored 17 points. Flames maintains sixth position in League with 3-2 record. Loser Redbacks dropped to the ninth place with three games lost. Flames will face Cougars (#10) in Hamilton Hill in the next round. Redbacks will play on the road against Magic in Mandurah and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
