Regular Season Round 12: Dandenong R. - Hobart C. 105-86

There was a surprise result when seventeenth ranked Dandenong Rangers (2-6) outleveled at home higher ranked Huskies (6-3) 105-86 on Saturday. Dandenong Rangers made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Huskies were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Oliver Hayes-Brown (208, college: UC Riverside) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Sean Macdonald (185-0) who added 23 points and 6 assists during the contest. Dandenong Rangers' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was naturalized Greek guard Jonathon Mines (193-91, college: NMHU) with 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Zachary White (201-83) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Five Dandenong Rangers and four Huskies players scored in double figures. Dandenong Rangers moved-up to fourteenth place in League. Loser Huskies dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Dandenong Rangers will face Sabres (#16) in Cheltenham in the next round. Huskies will play at home against Mount Gambier Pioneers (#3) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
