Rather expected game in Greensborough where 11th ranked Kilsyth Cobras (3-4) were crushed by eighth ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (5-3) 94-66 on Saturday. Diamond Valley Eagles made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Diamond Valley Eagles outrebounded Kilsyth Cobras 43-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. Kilsyth Cobras were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Darcy Harding (200-94, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Matt Reynolds (183) who added 13 points and 7 assists during the contest. Four Diamond Valley Eagles players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Diamond Valley Eagles moved-up to seventh place in League. Loser Kilsyth Cobras keep the eleventh position with four games lost. Diamond Valley Eagles will face Eltham Wildcats (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kilsyth Cobras will play against Ringwood Hawks (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
