This time Roar used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Runcorn 83-78 on Saturday night. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Darryl McDowell-White (183-97, college: Master's) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and Kobe McDowell-White who added 24 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Kai Woodfall (183, college: MBU) with 25 points and Jakobe Hunter scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Roar (1-1) left bottom position moving up to seventh place in League. Loser South West Metro Pirates still closes the standings with two games lost. Roar will face Phoenix (#9) in Cotton Tree in the next round. South West Metro Pirates will play at home against Thunder (#3) and hope to get finally their first victory.
