Everything went according to plan when second ranked NW Tasmania Thunder (7-1) outscored on the road 11th ranked Kilsyth Cobras (3-4) 98-63 on Sunday. NW Tasmania Thunder looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Taran Armstrong (193-2) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 4 assists and Canadian power forward Paul Campbell (208-87, college: Hawaii) who added 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five NW Tasmania Thunder players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Adrian Tomada with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized South Sudanese center Deng Riak (208-95, college: Akron) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. NW Tasmania Thunder maintains second position in League with 7-1 record having just seven point less than leader Warwick S. Loser Kilsyth Cobras keep the eleventh place with four games lost.
