State League top team - Tigers (8-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Warriors (1-7) in Flinders Park 96-52. Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Warriors' 14. Tigers forced 20 Warriors turnovers and outrebounded them 60-20 including a 24-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Warriors' players. It was a great evening for forward Teige Morrell who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 22 rebounds. Guard Morgan Yaeger (175-98, college: Oregon) helped adding 9 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was Deanna Troia with 12 points and 6 rebounds and guard Serena Waters (170, college: South Plains) scored 8 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tigers maintains first place in League with 8-0 record. Loser Warriors keep the ninth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
