Everything went according to plan in Wollongong where second ranked Hunters (7-1) outscored 10th ranked Hawks (1-6) 89-46 on Saturday. Hunters held Hawks to an opponent 21.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 48.6 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Hawks 50-36 including a 38-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Elle Carroll who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Hannah Griffin helped adding 26 points and 5 rebounds. Four Hunters players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Ella Dent with 12 points and 7 rebounds and Ebony Petre scored 4 points and 10 rebounds. Hunters keep a position of League leader. Loser Hawks dropped to the eleventh place with six games lost. Hunters will face league's second-placed Sharks in Sutherland in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
