Very expected game in Wollongong where bottom-ranked Hawks (0-8) were rolled over by ninth ranked Newcastle Hunters (4-5) 81-51 on Saturday. Newcastle Hunters dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Hawks' 20. They outrebounded Hawks 54-29 including a 41-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Naturalized South Sudanese forward Chier Maker (203-95, college: Idaho St.) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Myles Cherry (203-98, college: Lafayette) chipped in a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds.
