The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Flames as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Flames smashed 6th ranked Cougars in Rockingham 71-52. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Christina Boag (188-91) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Tayah Burrows (179-1) accounted for 24 points and 7 assists for the winning side. Center Jessie Edwards (192-95, college: Minnesota) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Taylah Simmons (185, college: Southeastern) added 9 points respectively for Cougars in the defeat. Cougars' coach tested twelve players seeing no chance for a win. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Cougars at the other side keep the sixth place with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
