There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Bullets (17-17) defeated on the road 4th placed Melbourne Phoenix (18-16) 91-84 on Wednesday. Bullets had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. International guard Nathan Sobey (190-90, college: Wyoming) fired 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international guard Jason Cadee (186-91) chipped in 19 points and 6 assists. Five Bullets players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Mitch Creek (196-92) produced 28 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and international guard Kyle Adnam (186-93) added 20 points respectively for lost side. The victory was the third consecutive win for Bullets. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sydney. Loser Melbourne Phoenix keeps the fourth position with 16 games lost. Bullets will meet Kings (#5) in the next round. Melbourne Phoenix will have a break next round.
