Host Illawarra Hawks were defeated by Kings in a tough game in Gwynneville 73-79. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Illawarra Hawks. American forward Jarell Martin (208-94, college: LSU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Xavier Cooks (203-95, college: Winthrop) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Kings players scored in double figures. The former international guard Emmett Naar (185-94, college: St.Mary's, CA) replied with 12 points and 6 assists and international power forward Samson Froling (212-0, college: Creighton) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Illawarra Hawks. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kings have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 19-17 record.
