No shocking result in a game in Hamilton Hill where ninth ranked Magic (5-5) won against 12th ranked Cougars (2-7) 91-78 on Friday. Cougars were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Jerami Grace (190-94, college: Langston) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Benjamin Smith (204-88, college: CUI) helped adding 17 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was naturalized Greek swingman Nic Pozoglou (196-96) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and forward Zachary Watkinson (196) scored 17 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Magic moved-up to seventh place in League. Loser Cougars keep the twelfth position with seven games lost. Magic will face league's second-placed Tigers in Willetton in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cougars will play at home against the league's leader Hawks (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
