No shocking result in a game in Rockingham where fourth ranked Flames (6-3) outleveled 13th ranked Eagles (2-9) 105-53 on Friday. Flames made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game, while Eagles only scored two points from the stripe. Flames forced 20 Eagles turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for power forward Callum Beard (202-0) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Point guard Ryan Godfrey (187-90, college: UWG) helped adding 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was forward Andrej Donlagic (197-97) with 16 points and 5 rebounds and forward Logan Thwaites (200-97) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Flames went down to sixth position (League) due to points difference. Loser Eagles keep the thirteenth place with nine games lost. Flames will face higher ranked Lightning (#3) in North Lake in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Eagles will play on the road against Buccaneers (#10) in Wonthella and hope to win that game.
