There was a small surprise in Willetton where sixth ranked Eagles (5-4) defeated 4th placed Tigers (4-2) 87-76 on Saturday. It was a great evening for New Zealand forward Mary Goulding (183-96, college: Fordham) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field). American guard Brianna Moyes (170, college: Akron) helped adding 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Eagles players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Samantha Lubcke (188-96, college: Utah Valley) responded with 29 points and 7 rebounds and guard Alexandra Sharp (185-97, college: Wake Forest) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Eagles moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Tigers dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Eagles will have a break next round. Tigers will play at home against Magic (#10) and hope to win that game.
