Not a big story in a game in Kalamunda where 9th ranked Suns (2-5) were defeated by second ranked Wanneroo (6-1) 66-54 on Saturday. Wanneroo forced 19 Suns turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Kayla Steindl (187-89, college: Gonzaga) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Her fellow American import power forward Amber Land (188-85, college: EMU) helped adding 15 points and 9 rebounds. Wanneroo's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Jewel Williams (168-1) responded with 20 points and naturalized British forward Samantha Roscoe (190-95, college: N.Dakota) scored 6 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Wanneroo keeps a position of League leader. Loser Suns dropped to the eleventh place with five games lost. Wanneroo will face Redbacks (#7) in Northbridge in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
