There was a small surprise in Northbridge where eighth ranked Redbacks (4-4) defeated 6th ranked Senators (6-2) 83-69 on Saturday. Redbacks made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for power forward Louis Timms (206-91, college: WBU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Tevin Jackson (202-94, college: McNeese St.) helped adding 13 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Four Redbacks players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Caleb Davis (206-95, college: SVSU) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and the former international forward Cody Ellis (202-90, college: St.Louis) scored 15 points. Senators' coach gave the chance to play for ten players saving starting five for next games. Redbacks maintains eighth place in League with 4-4 record. Loser Senators dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Redbacks will face Slammers (#11) in Bunbury in the next round. Senators will play on the road against Lightning (#3) in North Lake and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
