There was no surprise in Maitland where 9th ranked Mustangs (2-9) were crushed by fourth ranked Nationals (7-2) 89-66 on Saturday. Nationals made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Mustangs turnovers. Mustangs were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Abby Cubillo (161-99) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Hannah Kaser (178-93, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Nationals players scored in double figures. Karlee Grayson produced 9 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and Hannah Fox added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Nationals moved-up to second place in League. Loser Mustangs keep the ninth position with nine games lost. Nationals will face Inner WB (#13) in Bulls in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Mustangs will play at home against Hills Hornets (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
