Everything went according to plan in Wonthella where tenth ranked Buccaneers (3-8) outscored 14th ranked Eagles (3-10) 81-62 on Saturday. Buccaneers forced 21 Eagles turnovers and outrebounded them 55-42 including 20 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Naturalized South Sudanese swingman Mathiang Muo (196-87, college: Charleston So.) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Aaron Ralph (200-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Jarrad Anastasio (199-97) produced 10 points and 7 rebounds and forward Logan Thwaites (200-97) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Four Eagles players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Buccaneers went down to eleventh position (League) due to points difference. Loser Eagles dropped to the thirteenth place with ten games lost. Buccaneers will meet higher ranked Redbacks (#5) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Eagles will play against Slammers (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
