There was a small surprise when seventh ranked North Adelaide Rockets (5-6) won against 4th placed Woodville Warriors (5-6) in Flinders Park 103-96 on Saturday. North Adelaide Rockets looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. International guard Sunday Dech (196-94, college: Barry) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points, 7 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and the former international forward Jack McVeigh (203-96, college: Nebraska) accounted for 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. American guard Julian Jacobs (193-94, college: USC) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists and the other American import forward Joe Jackson (201, college: IU Southeast) added 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Woodville Warriors in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. North Adelaide Rockets moved-up to sixth place in League. North Adelaide Rockets will meet at home league's second-placed Forestville Eagles in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Woodville Warriors will play against Central District Lions in Gawler and hope to secure a win.
