Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifteenth ranked Bandits and 16th ranked Eltham Wildcats had identical 2-7 record. But Eltham Wildcats were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Albury 93-85 on Saturday night. New Zealand swingman Mitchell Dance (192-1) nailed 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and American forward Sharif Watson (198-93, college: ACU) accounted for 19 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Justin Aver (190-89) came up with 25 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Adam Doyle (176-91) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for Eltham Wildcats in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bandits (3-7) moved-up to fourteenth place in League. Loser Eltham Wildcats keep the sixteenth position with eight games lost. Bandits will meet higher ranked Bendigo Braves (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Eltham Wildcats will play again against Bandits (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
