No shocking result in a game in Kalamunda where seventh ranked Senators (7-5) defeated 10th ranked Suns (4-10) 90-81 on Friday. They outrebounded Suns 46-25 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for the former international forward Cody Ellis (202-90, college: St.Louis) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Alier Riak (203, college: Winona St.) helped adding 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Senators players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Jermaine Malie (185-96) responded with 29 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Chris Johnson (201-90, college: UIW) scored 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Suns' coach tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Senators maintains seventh place in League with 7-5 record. Loser Suns dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. Senators will meet at home Buccaneers (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Suns will play against Eagles and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
