Regular Season Round 19: Willetton T. - Rockingham F. 95-90

Very predictable result in Willetton where first ranked Tigers (10-2) beat 6th ranked Flames (8-6) 95-90 on Friday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Tigers forced 19 Flames turnovers. Strangely Flames outrebounded Tigers 46-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for guard Connor Mincherton (186-1) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points and 5 assists. Naturalized Scottish power forward Michael Vigor (206-90) helped adding 18 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side forward Atem Bior (201, college: UTSA) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Brendan Redhead (177-3) scored 17 points and 5 assists. Four Flames players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Tigers went down to third position (League) due to points difference. Loser Flames dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. Tigers will meet Magic (#6) in the next round. Flames will play against Giants in Kalgoorlie and hope to secure a win.
