Regular Season Round 26: Dandenong R. - Launceston T. 75-96

Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Rangers (3-8) were outscored by third ranked Tornadoes (10-4) in Dandenong 96-75 on Saturday. Tornadoes dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Rangers' 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Mariah Payne (170, college: Minot St.) notched a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the effort and forward Keely Froling (188-96, college: SMU) supported her with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 24 points by American forward Emilee Harmon (189, college: Ohio St.) did not help to save the game for Rangers. Guard Amy Baum (170, college: HPU) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists for the hosts. Despite that victory Tornadoes went down to fourth position (League) due to points difference. Loser Rangers dropped to the fifteenth place with eight games lost. Tornadoes will meet at home Falcons (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rangers will play against Sabres (#12) in Cheltenham and hope to secure a win.
