Regular Season Round 19: Albury W.B. - Hobart C. 90-107

Everything went according to plan in Albury where second ranked Huskies (12-3) won against 14th ranked Bandits (4-10) 107-90 on Saturday. It was a great evening for forward Jack Purchase (206-95, college: Hawaii) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. The former international point guard Tad Dufelmeier (183-96, college: CUI) helped adding 21 points. At the losing side New Zealand swingman Mitchell Dance (192-1) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized South Sudanese guard Wani Swaka (198-1) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Four Huskies and five Bandits players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Huskies keep a position of League leader. Loser Bandits keep the fourteenth place with ten games lost. Huskies will meet at home Waverley Falcons (#5) in the next round. Bandits will play against Dandenong Rangers (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
