Regular Season Round 19: Gold Coast R. - SW Metro P. 97-91

There was no surprise in Gold Coast where 13th ranked South West Metro Pirates (2-7) were defeated by eleventh ranked Rollers (4-4) 97-91 on Saturday. Rollers looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. It was a great evening for power forward Callum Dalton (207-0) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds. The former international guard Jason Cadee (186-91) helped adding 23 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. At the losing side guard Brendan Teys (188-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international point guard Kai Woodfall (183, college: MBU) scored 25 points. Four South West Metro Pirates players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rollers moved-up to eighth place in League. Loser South West Metro Pirates keep the thirteenth position with seven games lost. Rollers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. South West Metro Pirates will play against Roar (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
