Everything went according to plan in Flinders Park where second ranked Sabres (13-2) outscored 9th ranked Warriors (2-13) 126-43 on Sunday. Sabres held Warriors to an opponent 22.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 55.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Sabres forced 34 Warriors turnovers and outrebounded them 50-24 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 41 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Warriors' players. The best player for the winners was American guard Kylee Smith (180-94, college: Belmont) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Soriah Moon chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Sabres players scored in double figures. Sabres' coach felt very confident using entire bench saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Serena Waters (170, college: South Plains) who recorded 11 points and Emily Winter added 9 points and 4 steals respectively. Sabres maintains second place in League with 13-2 record having just three point less than leader Frankston B. Loser Warriors keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. Sabres will meet at home Flames (#6) in the next round. Warriors will play against Bearcats and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
