Very expected game when 11th ranked Ipswich Force (5-7) lost on the road to second ranked Mackay Meteors (9-3) 79-75 on Friday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Mackay Meteors looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Chris Cedar (188-88) nailed 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and the former international center Harrison Froling (211-98, college: Marquette) accounted for 12 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Mackay Meteors players scored in double figures. Guard Isaac White (188-98, college: CBU) came up with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Jason Ralph (178-95, college: VCSU) added 6 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for Ipswich Force in the defeat. Ipswich Force's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mackay Meteors maintains second place in League with 9-3 record having seven points less than leader Sturt S. Loser Ipswich Force dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Mackay Meteors will meet at home Cairns Marlins (#6) in the next round. Ipswich Force will play against Rip City (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
